We can provide sponsorship, if you have CGFNS certificate. If your CGFNS certificate is old, you will need to attend our one-week review and receive a certificate of attendance.

Fees: The course fee is N40, 000 if payment is received in full at least a month before the scheduled review.and N50,000 for late registrants. No exceptions please.


FAQ

Q: I am a foreign trained graduate. Do I need to pass the CGFNS Exam?
A: The new US immigration law requires a foreign nurse graduate to pass the CGFNS Exam (Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools) or be screened by CGFNS (VISASCREEN CERTIFICATE) to enable you obtain the employment visa.

Q : How often is CGFNS Exam conducted?
A: Four times per year March, July, September and November. The application deadline for the March, 2009 exam is December 10, 2008; and for July 2009, the deadline is April 8, 2009. The Examination dates for 2009 are March 11, July 8, September 9 and November 18. The September examination is by special administration. Visit CGFNS website for further details.

Q: Are there other requirements for obtaining employment visa in the USA?

A: Yes.   You must pass the following examinations before you apply for the VisaScreen Certificate unless you were born and trained in Australia, Canada(except Quebec), Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States ( Jamaica and Barbados have been added to the English language exempt countries): You are required to pass either TOEFL, TWE and TSE; or IELTS
TOEFL (Test of English as Foreign Language) : Takes about 1 month after your application to receive permission to take the test.
TSE (Test of Spoken English) :   A verbal English Exam. Test can be taken once per month. Takes about 1 month after your application to receive permission to take the test.                                 

Q: How long does it take to obtain the Visa-Screen Certificate?
A: About 2-3 months.

Q: Do I need CGFNS to take the RN Exam?
A: Yes/No . Most states require the passage of CGFNS before you can take the RN exam. There are some states that allow candidates to take the NCLEX-RN ( National Council Licensure Examinations for Registered Nurses) without CGFNS.

Q : Can the NCLEX-RN exam be taken outside US?
A: NCLEX RN Exam can be taken outside the US in select countries.
